Questions retail & hardware owners ask
Can I give udhaar (credit) to regular customers?
Yes. Choose Credit as the payment method and pick the customer by mobile number. The amount goes to that customer’s account and shows in your receivables, and a return can reduce the udhaar instead of paying cash back.
Does it work for a hardware or auto-spares shop?
Yes. Hardware and spare-parts shops register under Retail and get the same counter, stock, price lists and barcode labels, with their own product categories so buyers searching for them can find them.
Does it handle GST?
Every counter bill carries GST with the CGST/SGST split, and the GST reports are built from the same bills — there is nothing to re-enter at filing time.
Can I print barcode labels for my items?
Yes — CODE128, EAN-13 or QR labels from your item list. (Billing at the counter is by item search; scanning at the till is not part of the POS today.)
How much does it cost?
During the founding-member beta there is no monthly subscription — a one-time, nominal registration fee reserves your place and unlocks the full platform. We share the exact amount when you request access, and founding members lock in our best rates when public plans arrive.
Is my shop’s data safe?
Your data stays in India, on AWS in Mumbai, and each business’s records are kept separate from every other business’s. Passwords, bank details and identity numbers are never written to logs, and every change is recorded in an audit trail.
